  • Born in Diosgyor, Hungary, Acs came to Montreal in 1957 at age 21, then, a year later, moved to Edmonton. He studied commercial art through the International Correspondence School in Pennsylvania (1960-61), prior to earning a Civil Engineering degree from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Edmonton (1963-65). A painter, sculptor and designer, he turned to art professionally in 1970 and today is recognized for his prairie landscapes, many of which have grain elevators as their central focus. His work is in the EAG and the Canadian Embassy, Denmark.
